What would I do without a mind?
What would I do without a society to shape that mind?
To influence it?
To taint it?
To glorify it?
What would I do without the memories of such glory and such tache?
An orphan on a deserted island, with nothing from the outside world,
save the produce of Nature which surrounds me.
I suppose I would be free....

Wholesome Foursome
The greatest loss I suffer due to undue work pressure is the paucity of time to entertain my guts (literally). As the hand on the clock moved in predatory circles, I managed to steal a few slivers of time and made myself more of these little merrymakers. Well, all I'll tell you is that a good amount of potato, cheese, corn and some more (the more maketh the little pleasures of life) went into the making of a happy evening! Bon (visual) appetit!!

"Gourmandise is an impassioned, rational and habitual preference for all objects that flatter the sense of taste."
ReplyDeleteSo says Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, in The Physiology of Taste.
You prove the quotation right - what a delectable set of rolls you have displayed here, Eroteme! The perfection of their shape I hope got what it deserved when you served them - not insipid corelle ware, but on Wilton Armetale silver plates. After all, it adds to the delicious beauty of the dish itself!
Enjoy!
:-)
